Sirimahannop Unveils a New Culinary Concept Embarking on a Contemporary Thai–Asian Flavor Voyage

Sirimahannop, the reimagined Thai tall ship and refined riverside dining destination at Asiatique The Riverfront, has unveiled an exciting new culinary chapter that seamlessly blends maritime heritage with a contemporary Thai–Asian dining concept. This refreshed direction invites guests to embark on an evocative journey along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River and back to the golden age of the Rattanakosin era (1868–1910) — a defining era when Siam flourished in global trade, cultural exchange, and exploration.
A time of prosperity, the reign of King Rama V saw Sirimahannop sail around the world, visiting distant ports and gathering exotic ingredients to carry home to Siam. Today, permanently docked along the Chao Phraya River, the vessel continues its legacy through a renewed culinary expression that celebrates Thailand’s local ingredients while embracing inspirations from neighboring Asian cultures. As the main river flowing through the ancient capital, the Chao Phraya was a rippling highway of commerce, culture and diplomacy.
Now, Sirimahannop has revealed its most exciting voyage to date. The new culinary concept, “Navigating Flavors”, will showcase Thai and pan-Asian flavors through a contemporary perspective that represent life along the “River of Kings,” from bustling markets and watersideshophouses to grand palaces and foreign settlements. Creatively imagined by Sirimahannop's talented team of chefs, this new menu is designed to be light and enticing, with a focus on small plates and sharing dishes – a tribute to the golden era of cultural exchange.
As the sun sets over Bangkok, families and friends can step aboard Sirimahannop and savor a selection of light Dockside Snacks, such as crab claws with Hokkien chili sauce, fried chicken wings with nori powder and kabayaki sauce, and BBQ corn ribs with tom yum powder and feta cheese, along with River Trade Plates, including larb tuna with mackerel cracker, crispy soft shell crab salad with tropical fruit, and half a dozen fresh French oysters. The Navigator’s Specials highlight the finest seafood in a range of global styles, from simply grilled river prawns with garlic & chili sauce, to half or whole baked sea bass with a garlic & pepper crust, and the chef’s signature khao soi crab linguini.
Meat lovers can warm up by The Captain’s Fire with a range of flame-grilled or slow-cooked cuts, from wagyu flank steak with Thai chimichurri and chili jeaw dip, to chargrilled pork skewer with papaya pickle, and slow-braised beef short rib with massaman jus. Vegetarian guests will be comforted by The Green Voyage, a collection of thoughtfully crafted meat-free dishes, including a vibrant citrus herb salad with pomelo and mango, and eggplant red curry with homemade roti bread. All diners can then end their gastronomic journey with A Sweet Farewell – a choice of desserts that fuse the best of East and West, such as green tea tiramisu, passionfruit cheesecake, and the Thai classic mango sticky rice.
Every dining experience can be enjoyed either on Sirimahannop’s elegant alfresco Upper Deck, overlooking the glistening waters of the Chao Phraya, or on the heritage-rich Lower Deck, which is adorned with traditional furnishings and images of Old Siam. For special occasions and small groups of up to six guests, The Bridge is a private room with a hidden bar area where friends and colleagues can create memories in a unique, secluded space. So, whether it’s a casual evening, a special occasion, or a romantic dinner, Sirimahannop will transport every diner on a deeply soulful voyage to the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
“Navigating Flavors” is an à la carte menu with dishes priced individually. Limited-time promotions will also be available throughout the year, and Marriott Bonvoy members enjoy a 10% discount. Not a member yet? Sign up here for free!
